Amanda is the 20 year old daughter of Christine and the late Dave Hunter. As a small town girl, Amanda is proud to call Sedro-Woolley, Washington her home town. Rodeo blood runs thick in Amanda's family. As the middle of three girls, Amanda has grown up traveling throughout the Northwest, going to various rodeos and horse shows with her family. Amanda was in 4-H for 13 years where she showed English, Western and Gymkhana. In 1998, Amanda joined Pony Club, where she found her love for jumping and 3-day eventing. She is now a volunteer leader and instructor for both and loves teaching youth about horsemanship and riding skills

As a 2006 graduate of Sedro-Woolley High School, Amanda played varsity basketball and soccer. She was also a member of TATU (Teens Against Tobacco Use), SKADU (Skagit Kids Against Drug Use), and The National Honors Society. After high school she attended Skagit Valley College where she was a starting member on the Women's Soccer Team and earned her Associates degree. She is currently attending Central Washington University, in Ellensburg, where she is an active member of the Rodeo Club and Equestrian Team. Amanda is a Junior there and hopes to major in Anthropology.
